Where have we been, you ask?

Boy, I sure haven't posted anything on there in a while, have I? Has it really been since Feb. of 2011? Anyone recognize what we are standing in front of?  Yep, it's the Astor Column in Astoria.  Since my last post we've sent a grandson off on a mission, traveled to Florida to visit Dan's family, saw another grandson graduate from High School and worked our jobs. We lead pretty normal lives with nothing much to tell.  Boy are we BORING!  We did have our daughter Emily and family live with us over the summer while they waited for a house to be built.  It was definately Jordan Summer Camp out here.  The men went hunting this fall, and Dan got a deer.  He was very proud of himself.  Though I didn't like the bill we got to get it butchered.  That was one expensive deer!   We're still happy out on the farm.  The fall colors are really getting going now.  We had such a great summer of dry sunny weather.  We all got spoiled!  But the Halloween decorations are up, and the rain has come back again.  Here's a view from our backyard, next to the old mill steam engine cement footings.
